Las búsquedas de Adriana Herrera-Rivera han trascendido siempre el umbral de su carrera, metodologías y técnicas. Hija del Maestro Hernani Herrera Humpierres, educador y cultor que impactó la vida de varias generaciones de caraqueños, Adriana creció embebida en las creaciones plásticas, literarias y musicales familiares; en los debates existenciales, el cultivo de la curiosidad y la alegría de vivir. Fascinada por el efecto de la naturaleza humana y sus formas de interacción, Herrera-Rivera ha empezado a desglosar el universo para mostrarlo sencillo, tangible, explorando distintas superficies. Hace de lo hallado en privado una experiencia que se vuelve colectiva, acercándonos a fragmentos de imágenes que calzan fácilmente no sólo en la venezolanidad esparcida por el mundo, sino en un amplio rango de públicos que hallan en su planteamiento tropical, el gusto por formas, formatos, recursos y contrastes frescos y con huella propia. |

Adriana Herrera-Rivera's searches have always transcended the threshold of her career, methodologies and techniques. She’s the daughter of Hernani Herrera Humpierres, an educational cultivador who impacted the lives of several generations of Caracas. Adriana grew up immersed in the family creations of literature, plastic art, music, existential debates, the cultivation of curiosity and the joy of living. Fascinated by the effect of human nature and its forms of interaction, Herrera-Rivera has begun to break down the universe to show that it’s simple and tangible, while exploring different surfaces. She makes what is found in private an experience that becomes collective. Which brings us closer to fragments of images that easily fit, not only in the reality of the Venezuelan community spread throughout the world, but also in a wide range of audiences. They find in her tropical approach a taste for shapes, formats, resources and fresh contrasts with an authentic imprint. |

Adriana nace en Caracas, Venezuela, en Junio de 1975. Licenciada en Relaciones Industriales de la Universidad Católica Andrés Bello con Especialización en Dinámica de Grupos del Centro de Investigación y Estudios de la Dinámica Social. Cursó estudios de Psicodrama, Teatro y Cine. Compartió por años su labor creativa en el campo del desarrollo humano a nivel corporativo e individual, y es socio fundador y Productora de Alfarería Cinematográfica quienes desde 2006 participaron en la producción de más de una docena de filmes venezolanos que recorren el mundo. Desde el año 2016 reside en Miami, Florida, explorando con la pintura de manera autodidacta. Desde Enero 2021 expone su obra en White’s Art gallery en el Bird Road Art District de Miami. En Agosto 2022, alcanza el tercer lugar en el Miami International Art Award con "La Esquina" y "Venezuela", parte de su colección "Así me siento", y con su "Avila-Totem". Recientemente, su obra "La luna de Frida" recibió mención especial del jurado, en el homenaje a Frida Kahlo de White's Art Gallery. En Dic de 2022, recibió un Certificado de Mérito Artístico otorgado por la Pinacotheque "...en reconocimiento de su alta calidad artística, concedido por el Museo a consecuencia de su participación en la selección internacional del Luxembourg Art Prize 2022. Concedido únicamente a los artistas más dignos de entre todos los participantes". Para Marzo 2023, su pieza “Ella se llama Venezuela” quedó seleccionada en la exhibición de arte “Femina” organizada por Gallerium, y “Woman” organizada por Exhibizone. Ambas exhibiciones impulsadas por Biafarin, Canadá. En Julio 2023, participó y obtuvo el Primer Lugar en la Exhibición "The Art of leaving a Mark" llevada a cabo en la Galería de Arte del Miami Dade College, Hialeah Campus, con la curaduría de Noor Blazekovic e Irreversible Projects. |

Adriana was born in Caracas, Venezuela, in June 1975. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello with a specialization in Group Dynamics from the Center for Research and Studies of Social Dynamics. She has also studied Psychodrama, Theater, and Film Production. For years, she shared her creative work in the field of human development at both the corporate and individual levels. She is also a founding partner and Executive Producer of Alfarería Cinematográfica, a production company that has been involved in the production of over a dozen Venezuelan films that have traveled the world. Since 2016, she has been living in Miami, Florida, where she has been exploring painting as a self-taught artist. Since January 2021, she has been exhibiting her work at White's Art gallery in the Bird Road Art District of Miami. In August 2022, she achieved third place in the Miami International Art Award with "La Esquina" and "Venezuela," part of her "Así me siento" collection, as well as with her "Avila-Totem." Her work "La luna de Frida" received Special Mention from the Jury at the Frida Kahlo tribute exhibition at White's Art Gallery. In December 2022, she was awarded a Certificate of Artistic Achievement by "la Pinacotheque "...in recognition of their high artistic quality as recognized by the Museum in conjunction with their participation in the international selection of the Luxembourg Art Prize 2022. Only to the most deserving artists receive this certificate". In March 2023, her piece "Ella se llama Venezuela" was selected for the "Femina" art exhibition organized by Gallerium, as well as for the "Woman" exhibition organized by Exhibizone, both driven by Biafarin in Canada. In July 2023, she participated and won First Place in "The Art of leaving a Mark" Exhibition held at the Miami Dade College Art Gallery, Hialeah Campus, curated by Noor Blazekovic and Irreversible Projects. |
